William J. Hill, a lifelong resident of Raritan Borough, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026 at the Promise House Community Living Center at the VA Lyons Campus. He was 95 years old.
Born in Spring Hill, West Virginia, he was the son of Charles and Macel (Barker) Hill.
William was a proud Korean War veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps from 1950 to 1954, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant while working as an airplane mechanic. He was a self-employed building contractor throughout his career.
He was predeceased by his wife, Irene (Huzinec) Hill; his son, Kenneth Hill; his granddaughter, Leann Knox; his longtime companion, Mildred Bridges; and his siblings, Evelyn Webb, Betty Foss, and Charles Hill.
William is survived by his children, Michele Danysh (Michael), Mark Hill (Debbie), William Hill, and Jeffery Hill; his grandchildren, Bryan Knox, Morgan Hill, Kassy George, Katy O’Connor, and Jeffery Hill; his great-grandchildren, Michael, David, Jacob, Brady, Makenzie, Coralie, Luke, and Thalia; and his sister, Jane Jaskulski.
William enjoyed spending time at the Jersey Shore, especially in Cape May, playing craps in Atlantic City, and being with family and friends.
Graveside services will be private.
