William “Bill” Caldwell passed away June 27, 2023, in New York City at the age of 97+. He was comfortable, peaceful and knew how loved he was by all. He was an incredible man who lived an extraordinary life.
Bill grew up in Montclair, NJ and graduated from Saint Lawrence University. A World War II veteran, husband, father, grandfather, VP of Sales for Flexible Flyer, author, tutor, world-traveler are just some of his accomplishments. He had a zest for life that was unparalleled. Wise, funny, generous, caring, smart, and loving were just a few words that describe him. Every health challenge was faced with an optimistic attitude and fighting spirit. He had a wicked sense of humor and made everyone laugh, even up until his very last moments. His radiating positivity was contagious to all who crossed his path. His daily e-mail blasts and Facebook posts with excerpts from his book will be missed by all who received them.
He is survived by his partner Mac, ex-wife Sylvia, children Nancy, John, David and Bill, two granddaughters, two great-grand daughters, and a myriad of friends, all of whom were lucky to know him and will miss him tremendously.
