Shirley (Gyetvay) Powell

Shirley Ann Powell, 89, of Fords, New Jersey, passed away on March 1, 2026. 

She was born on March 20, 1936 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Michael and Catherine Gyetvay (née Borden).  Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and her son, Kenneth.  She is survived by two sons: David and his partner, Pam, and Christopher, his wife Mary, and their son, Judson. 

A memorial service will be held on March 21, 2026 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 183 Rector Street, Perth Amboy, NJ, at 1:30PM. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
