Seymour Goldstaub Obituary

Seymour Goldstaub, 82, from Hoboken, NJ passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at St. Claire's Hospital in Dover, NJ. He passed away peacefully under the care of hospice after suffering from pneumonia and sepsis. He also suffered from dementia for many years.

Seymour was born October 8th, 1934 in Jersey City, NJ. His parents were David and Faye Goldstaub. He is predeceased by his two sisters: Millicent Goldstaub and Renee Price. Seymour is survived by his loving wife, Margarita Dobrotova, who stood by his side until the end. He also has two daughters: Maura Zaldivar-Garcia and Brook Smith. Seymour is also survived by three grandchildren that he adored: Xavier Zaldivar, Sara Kain, and Tyler Smith.

He lived a full and happy life. Seymour was an extremely intelligent man. Mr. Goldstaub went to Harvard University and graduated with a post graduate law degree. He was one of the most established criminal lawyers of his time. People use to say that he was the best of the best and the one you would want Seymour by your side if you needed a defense attorney. He also had a great sense of humor even at the very end.

The family will be hosting a private memorial for close friends and family at a future date.

He will be missed terribly, but is no longer in pain and in a better place.
