Nicolena "Lena" Meliti (nee Christiana), 87, passed away on August 11, 2021 at Vitas Hospice at Wayne surrounded by her family.

Lena was the only child born to the late Anna (nee Dolcemascola) and James Christiana in Montclair, New Jersey.  She was also predeceased by her step-father, Louis Sobota.

Nicolena was a homemaker during her life.

Mrs. Meliti is survived by three children: Laura Czarnecki and her husband, Steven; Annie Meliti Smythe and her husband, Robert of Florida; and a son, James Meliti.  She is also survived by four grandchildren: Donna Priester, Nicole Ott, Samantha Meliti of Florida, and Shannon Meliti.  Lena has one great grandson, Arlo Smythe of Florida.

Lena had uncles that boxed and were considered Prize Boxers in their day under the name Doyle.

Funeral services were private.
