Nestor P. Echemendia-Alizar, 83, of Union City, NJ died at Hackensack Meridan Palisades General Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mr. Echemendia was born in Cuba and emigrated to Union City several years ago.  He was a printer while in Cuba.

Nestor was predeceased by his wife, Norma, several years ago, a son, Nestor Louis Echemendia, and sisters, Angela Echemendia and Ramon Echemendia.

He is survived by his dear sister, Zeyda Echemendia, of Union City and two special nieces, Lissette Garrido and Lourdes Garrido.  He also has many nieces and nephews in Cuba.

A memorial mass will be said on Friday evening at Saint Augustine's R.C. Church, 3900 New York Avenue, Union City, NJ 07087.
