Margaret Louise (Thomas) Tudor Obituary
Margaret Louise Tudor, 78, of Edison, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
Born on September 13, 1947, in Corning, New York, Margaret was the daughter of Lorna Jean Thomas (née Smith) and George Walter Thomas.
Margaret was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, caring sister and aunt whose life was centered on her family and faith. She shared nearly 50 years of marriage with her beloved husband, John Lorenz Tudor, with whom she built a life defined by love, commitment, and unwavering support. She is now reunited with him in eternal rest.
She is survived by her three daughters: Jacqueline Tudor (fiancé Neil Burke); Stephanie Whysong (née Tudor) (spouse: Terry Whysong); and Lauren Baldino (née Tudor) (spouse: Christine Baldino); as well as her cherished grandchildren: Andrew, Adam, Robyn, Melanie, Anna, Johnathan, Allison, Anthony and Ava. At the time of her passing, she also had a nephew, who she raised and loved like a son, George Walter Thomas III, who has since passed away.
Margaret found her greatest joy in her children and grandchildren, whose lives and accomplishments she celebrated with pride and enthusiasm. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, strength, and generosity. Her home was always open to others—she was known for welcoming guests with a meal, offering comfort with a hug, and extending help wherever it was needed.
She had a deep passion for sewing, and her creativity touched both her professional life and the lives of those she loved. T
hroughout her life, Margaret was known for her strong work ethic and determination. She began her career as a waitress, where she developed the warmth and attentiveness that would define her interactions with others. She later worked at Personal Products and with Johnson & Johnson as a lab technician, demonstrating both skill and dedication in her work. Continuing to grow professionally, she went on to serve as a paralegal before ultimately spending her retirement years working at Lowe’s, where she remained active and engaged. In every role she held, Margaret took pride in her work, embodying perseverance, responsibility, and an unwavering commitment to doing her best. Margaret proudly served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and on the Board of Governors at Douglass College, which is part of Rutgers University.
Margaret especially treasured the tradition of baking Christmas cookies, a beloved activity she shared with her children, their friends, and later her grandchildren, creating lasting memories for generations. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, strength, and faith will remain a lasting legacy in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
