Kristian (Kris) Kaari, 52, of Toms River, NJ passed away suddenly on April 15, 2022. Kris was born in September of 1969 to Raymond and Jeanette Kaari. He served his country as a member of the United Stated Army Reserves where he was part of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Kris was a Marksman and a member of the 78th Logistics Division Group and was Honorably Discharged and awarded the Army Service Medal and a National Service Medal. Kris received his Associates Degree from Ocean County College and then his Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Stockton University. Kris worked for many different security firms in Colorado and New Jersey before moving on to becoming a Hazmat driver for Schneider National. Once he became a father to his twins James and Lisa, Kris went back to school and received a Juris Doctorate degree from Seton Hall Law School. Kris began his law practice by working in family law and then moved to contract work, which he enjoyed and excelled at.
Kris was a loving family man and enjoyed spending every free moment with his children. He would go with them on hikes and outdoor adventures, and really enjoyed sharing his love of music, movies and TV shows with his family and friends. Kris’ happiest moments were family gatherings and barbeques with family and friends. As an absolute delight with an unrivaled sense of humor, Kris always made everyone feel welcome and made friends everywhere he went. He went out of his way to be there for people when they needed him most and to fill a hole in their lives with his kindness, his sweetness, and his amazing personality. He loved trivia and making people laugh. He also avidly watched his Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. Kris was an animal lover who loved caring for his cats. His most recent cats, Cosmo and Marley, followed him around and never wanted to leave his side. Even his friends’ cats would always come out to greet him when he visited, which is a testament to what an amazing human he was.
Kris is predeceased by his parents Raymond and Jeanette, sister Pamela, and brother Lester. Kris is survived by his wife of 27 years Kelly, his children James and Lisa Kaari. Also survived by his brother Raymond Kaari and sister-in-law Nancy; nephew Zachary Kaari; brother Eric Kaari and sister-in-law Kristy; close friends Alex and Elena; along with many loving family members.
