Geraldine Julia Karoly passed away peacefully in her home on June 9, 2018. She was 92.

Gerry was born in Passaic, NJ to Margaret (nee Bartis) and Francis Ritz in May 1926. Her beloved husband Charles and her daughter, Marguerite Karoly, predeceased her.

Gerry is survived by her son, Michael Karoly and his wife, Janine; her grandsons, Ryan Brady, Nicholas Karoly, Charles Karoly and his wife Alyson; her grand daughters, Kara Brady and Julia Karoly; her great-grandchildren Delia and Micah Karoly.

Gerry graduated Montclair College and taught English in Saddle Brook, NJ. She was well regarded in her professional life. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, driving across the USA and an extended visit to Europe. She especially enjoyed spending time on Long Beach Island and going to the Metropolitan Opera.

Gerry will forever be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother; truly the kindest person one could ever meet. Her family is grateful to her caregivers for their many years of care.

Cremation was private.
