With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of George William Kuziw, a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully at the age of 85.

Born in Ukraine in 1939, George immigrated to New York at the age of seven, embracing a new life with promise, resilience, and determination. He went on to earn a degree in civil engineering from Pennsylvania Military College (now Widener University), and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965.

George dedicated his career to the Department of Transportation, where he worked as an engineer and eventually retired as the Director of Data Planning. His professional life reflected a deep commitment to public service, infrastructure, and the belief that his work could help improve everyday life for others.

A longtime resident of Ewing, NJ, George was known for his quiet strength, unwavering integrity, and many passions. He was an avid golfer who cherished his time on the course, and a nature lover with a special fondness for deer, which brought him peace and joy. After a long day, nothing pleased him more than winding down with a good meal and his favorite cocktail—a Manhattan, affectionately known in his home as a “manhootie.”

George is survived by his three children, Michael, Mark, and Maria; his daughters-in-law, Allison, Kathryn, and Sophia; and his beloved grandchildren, Roman, Emma, Isabella, MariaAva, and Mateo.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
