Edmy (Crespo) Linder

With profound sadness we announce our beloved mother Edmy Linder has gone to be reunited with her husband Robert and son Jimmy. Edmy Linder formerly Edmy Crespo, aged 86, died surrounded by her loving family on October 21st, 2019 after a struggle with cancer. Edmy was born June 3, 1933 in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico the daughter of Lucinda Hidalgo and Gregorio Crespo. In 1956, Edmy married Robert W. a former Force soldier. Upon the end of his enlistment they moved between the USA and Puerto Rico until settling in Elizabeth, NJ where they lived 38 years. They had four children, three boys and a girl.

In addition to raising four children she worked at various jobs one of her most beloved being a social worker with the elderly in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico where she motivated and uplifted all that walked into the center. Once she moved to Elizabeth, NJ she developed a passion for floral arranging and became a floral designer. Family and friends were Edmy’s passion and delight. She loved to host and entertain family and friends and her door was always open as her heart. Edmy is survived by children Bobby, Joseph and Frances; 11 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. Her husband Robert and son Jimmy preceded her in death.
