Antoinette Tassello (nee DiNicola) age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday June 7, 2024, at Complete Care of Westfield.

Antoinette was born in Newark, NJ to Anna and Caesar DiNicola. She was the 11th of 12 children. She was married to Salvatore Tassello in 1956 and raised their four children together in Hillside NJ. Years later she moved to Edison NJ, where she resided until 3 years ago when she moved into Complete Care Facility of Westfield.

Antoinette loved Italian cooking and baking cookies. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother. She was funny and outgoing and had many friends. She was the life of the party wherever she went. Antoinette loved dancing, playing piano and accordion. She was known for her beautiful voice and would sing “My Way” by Frank Sinatra anytime given the chance. She loved socializing but mostly loved spending time with her family. If you knew Antoinette, better known as Toni, you knew a funny story that went with being in her company.

She will be dearly missed by her children and grandchildren and caretaker Joanie Portaro Christopher.

Surviving are her children: Michele Predmore (Terry), Anthony Tassello (Joann),Donna Corrigan (Patrick), and Annemarie Blackwell (Thomas). Grandchildren: Jillian Glick (Brandon), Marisa Fanning (Ryan), Matthew Tassello (Chelsey), Lauren, Ryan and Joseph Corrigan, Brandon, and Trinity Blackwell. Great Grandchildren: Sophia, Sydney and Lucas Glick, Henry Fanning and Gianna Tassello.

Services will be private for the immediate family.
