Miriam Beatrice Wills

Miriam Beatrice Wills (aka Marie B. Wills at birth) passed on Monday, 8/27/18, at the age of 93. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and close friend to many. Miriam was the last survivor of six siblings. She cherished their memories as well as her parents’, Harry & Sophie Wills. She was a beautiful woman in every respect. Feminine, yet a strong woman of clear, independent thought. Every life she touched benefited from her generosity and zeal for life.

Born in Savannah, GA, surrounded by the beauty of historical architecture, Miriam came to New York City at a young age to embark on a prolific art career and shared her love of art with youth in the New York Public High Schools.”

She had a special love of family and friends and graciously entertained in her Greenwich Village Co-op for decades. She is mourned by her nephews, nieces & many, many more.

Later, an intimate, informal memorial service will be scheduled in NYC.
