Price

We charge $895 for our direct cremation service and you may pay via cash, check or credit card. We also accept Medicaid Assistance from the County. The crematorium requires the use of a cremation container and it is included in the price of our service. If you would like, you may give us your own cremation container or casket for use. This special package price covers the cost of bringing the deceased from the place of passing directly to the crematory. Also included in the price is the use of my website to publish an online obituary with pictures for free. This provides a means for your relatives and friends to read about the life and accomplishments of your dearly departed. This obituary will have a permanent place on our website, so you can always visit and reflect. You may also show the obituary by linking your Facebook page to our website. For your ease and convenience, we are available to come to your home to arrange the details and get the required signatures to satisfy all federal and state regulations.

This package does not include embalming as embalming is not needed for a direct or immediate cremation. In lieu of a coffin, the body of your loved one is put in a basic cremation container.  The container's price is included in the package. There is no wake, funeral or memorial ceremony as part of this package. In addition to the $895 for the service, there is the added cost of the actual cremation. Also, there is a $10 charge for each certified copy of the death certificate obtained from the New Jersey municipality and the $5 fee for the cremation permit from the State of New Jersey. Should your deceased pass away in the home, an additional charge may be assessed in order to compensate another person for assistance in transporting the body. There are other cash advance items and services that will be explained to you when the arrangements are being made. Please call (732) 804-0295 if you have any issues concerning the pricing and we will discuss them with you over the phone.

We welcome the chance to speak with you about the choice of a direct cremation and how it affects you and your family. In order to receive the best possible service, we suggest you ask all the funeral homes and cremation firms you consider the following 4 questions:

Do you have anyone on staff who is a specialist on cremation? (Daniel Simone is certified by the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) as a cremation specialist and has attained Certified Crematory Operator (CCO) status.)

What is your relationship with the crematory that you use? (Unless owned prior to 1952, New Jersey funeral homes are not permitted to own crematories.)

Will my loved one’s remains be taken to the crematorium alone or with the remains of other people? (We bring your deceased to the crematory ourselves and without any other human remains.)

How can you be certain that the cremated remains I receive belong to my loved one? (We encourage you to meet with a funeral director at the crematory if you would like to visit.)

Perhaps other companies will be less expensive than us in arranging a direct cremation, but you should also consider the quality level of their services. You may request a price list from all funeral homes and cremation organizations under your consideration. The Funeral Rule of 1984 set up by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) mandates that a funeral home give you a copy of an itemized and honest list of their costs for you to keep without charging you a fee or obliging you to an agreement. The General Price List must be provided and it is for your retention.  We provide you with an urn to hold your loved one’s remains while many other firms will attempt to persuade you the purchase one. Also, they may charge you with an extra fee for allowing you to identify your loved one at the crematory. With us, you are free to visit the crematorium and make sure that you are getting the correct cremated remains.

We are available to come to your home to arrange for the direct cremation and obtain signatures in most counties of New Jersey. The areas we travel to are Bergen County, Burlington County, Essex County, Hudson County, Hunterdon County, Mercer County, Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Morris County, Ocean County, Passaic County, Somerset County, Sussex County, Union County and Warren County. We are now available to provide services to clients who pass away in New York City, Nassau County or lower New York State region.  The cost is slightly higher for a New York death.  Please call if you are uncertain if you live within our area of service.

We also arrange for visitation and memorial services, perhaps within your community. Please speak with one of our licensed funeral directors to discuss the details.

We are part of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association (NJSFDA) and will place pre-paid funeral funds with Choices, which is the New Jersey Prepaid Funeral Trust Fund. This trust fund remains in your name until the time of need and earns a competitive rate of interest. Should you decide to pre-fund your cremation with us, we guarantee our price which means that the costs for our services will never increase.

Urns

The majority of funeral homes pressure you to purchase an urn. If you do not, they will present you with the cremated remains of your loved one in a low-quality plastic temporary container. We have the utmost respect for you and your loved one so we provide you with a locking wooden urn displayed here on the right free with all of our cremation packages. You may also have an engraved nameplate and/or military symbol placed on the urn for a nominal fee. The urn is fit for display in your home or can be used for cemetery burial or placement in a mausoleum or columbarium niche.  Our urn store has a large selection of marble, metal, and biodegradable urns as well as keepsake urns and cremation jewelry for purchase.  You can browse the urn store without any pressure.  All urns are conveniently labeled for your review.  Click the below button to take you to the urn store.
