Kimberly Jean Hamlin of Fairview, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at her home surrounded by family at the age of 64. Kimberly was known to family and friends as Ding-Ding.

Kimberly was born on June 28, 1957, in Pittsburgh, PA to father Edward King Hamlin and mother Ruth Ellen Hamlin, who predeceased her. She grew up in a large family with three sisters and one brother. Kimberly had a love for education and excelled in academics. She was professional, intelligent, and independent. She graduated from Pace University with a degree in Business Administration in 1994, which led her to a long successful career in public accounting.

While Kimberly had a kind, reserved and gentle spirit, she was very opinionated, and many would say she always spoke her mind regardless of the situation. Kimberly’s love for animals and gentle spirit allowed her to care for neighborhood cats and adopt them as her own. She had a love for reading, traveling, music, taking long walks in the park, and taking dance classes. Kimberly enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her siblings and nieces and nephews.

Kimberly is survived by her sisters Deirdre Hamlin, Dawn Hamlin and Tracie Bey, niece Najran Cowins, her husband Demond Cowins, their children Zayden and Zaliyah “LeLe,” nephews Taj Majors, Rahsaan Majors, Kyle Hamlin, nieces Gayle Hamlin, Jade Hamlin Jill Hamlin, Ruth Bey, Janee Bey, Desiree Bey-Ward and numerous grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward ‘King’ Hamlin and Ruth Ellen Hamlin and her brother, Edward Roland Hamlin.

Kimberly requested to be cremated and no services will be held. The family would like to thank the staff at Englewood Hospital for their constant attentive treatment and the All Faiths Cremation Service, for making the arrangements.
