Maureen Theresa (Ross) Matticola

Maureen Matticola, age 87 of Moonachie, NJ, passed away peacefully on 4/12/19.

Maureen was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Desmond and Isabelle Ross.  She was the devoted wife of Joseph Matticola who preceded her in death in 1999. She was the caring older sister to siblings Patrick, William and Christopher Ross, and Vera Lalko, who have all preceded her in death.

Maureen was the loving mother to Eileen Angeloro and her husband Richard of Cape Coral, Fla, and her daughter Diane Mendyk and her husband Donald, also of Moonachie, NJ.  She loved her grandchildren and spent many memorable moments with them.

She is preceded in death by her oldest grandson Stephen Angeloro, who passed away in 2017.  She is survived by her grandchildren Jeffrey Angeloro, Dana Alvarez, Amber Angeloro, Jaclyn Mendyk and Christopher Mendyk, and her great grandchildren Dylan and Zoey Alvarez.

Maureen is also survived by her brother, John Ross and his wife Lucille of Little Ferry, NJ, her sister, Margaret Sosnowski and her husband Raymond of North Arlington, NJ, and many nieces and nephews. 

She will be greatly missed.  Services will be private.
