Julio Luis Daantje

Tenor, musical producer and graduated in Social Communication, graduated from the UCAB, Julio Daantje, died suddenly, on April 18, 2017, in New Jersey. Dotado con una bellísima voz de tenor spinto, con dicción y ritmo precisos, debutó en 1979 como el Príncipe Orlovsky de “El Murciélago” en el Teatro Municipal, con la Orquesta Sinfónica Municipal de Caracas. Gifted with a beautiful tenor spinto voice, with precise diction and rhythm, he debuted in 1979 as Prince Orlovsky of "El Murciélago" at the Municipal Theater, with the Caracas Municipal Symphony Orchestra.

He sang in the most important concert halls of the country, with the main orchestras and in the international opera seasons of the Teatro Teresa Carreño, Opera de Maracay, with the "Opera Breve" of the Ateneo de Caracas. From 1983 he integrated the "Voice and Piano Duo of Venezuela" with Fernando Roa, appearing in all the regions of the country; en el “Bolívar Hall” de Londres; In the Bolivar Hall of London; “Museo Instrumental de Bruselas”; "Instrumental Museum of Brussels"; “Sala Dalles” de Bucarest; "Sala Dalles" of Bucharest; “Festsaal” de Leipzig y “Biblioteca Nacional” de Sofía, en Bulgaria. "Festsaal" in Leipzig and "National Library" in Sofia, Bulgaria. Fue miembro fundador del Coro de Ópera del Teatro Teresa Carreño. He was a founding member of the Teresa Carreño Theater Opera Choir.

Between 1976 and 1992, he was Vice President of Corporate Communications at Banco de Venezuela, where he promoted the tree-planting and cultural management campaigns that the institution advanced for years to the satisfaction of all; Nonexistent today. Julio, disinterested and generous offered his technical knowledge to innumerable young singers, among whom it is with mentioning the successful triumphant César Arrieta.  Since 2004, as artistic manager, he was a corporate consultant and producer of the musical seasons of the Salón Siglo XXI, Fonbienes Foundation, (the automobile show, on Miranda Avenue), until its closure, on March 31, 2017.

A memorial mass was celebrated at 6:30 pm on Saturday, April 29, 2017 for Julio Luis Daantje at the Parish of the Holy Family of Nazareth in Caracas, Venezuela.

Julio is survived by his brothers, Milagros, Yamile, and Ashley and many nieces and nephews.
