Antoinette (Capista) Cusack

Antoinette (nee Capista) Cusack was born in Pescara, Italy August 8, 1949 to Marie and Michael Capista. She was one of four children. The family immigrated to the United States in December 1955 following their patriarch who came before them to pave the way. Antoinette attended Vailsburg High School in Newark, NJ, class of 1967.

On March 24, 1970, Antoinette was married to Thomas M. Cusack and together, they built a loving home and raised three beautiful daughters. They spent most of their lives in Essex County, NJ. Until purchasing a home and relocating to Brick, NJ in 1995. Antoinette was truly loved by everyone who knew her and she enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. Her greatest love of all was her grandchildren.

Antoinette passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. She fought a long hard road to recovery after an unsuccessful heart surgery, unfortunately she did not win and will watch over us now from heaven. Antoinette was predeceased by her parents, her youngest sister Patricia and her husband Thomas. On March 24, 2018, Thomas and Antoinette will be joined together again at a funeral mass that will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Central Ave in North Caldwell, NJ at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

She is survived by her three Daughters, Samantha, Kimberly, and Dawn. Three grandchildren, Alexia, Tyler and William. Her sister Anna Marie and brother Bruno as well as their children and grandchildren who all loved their Aunt Toni very much and will miss her dearly.
